A native of Oregon, Dr. Brandes earned a Bachelor of Science in English at Willamette University and earned his Medical Degree at Oregon Health & Sciences University. He spent six years in Albuquerque, New Mexico, where he completed his Internal Medicine residency as well as a Gastroenterology fellowship. He is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology. Dr. Brandes has particular interest in liver disease, colorectal cancer screening, inflammatory bowel disease and emerging endoscopic technologies.
